JLL Appoints New Healthcare Division President
Industry veteran Alison Flynn Gaffney will assume the role and work to evolve the firm’s healthcare business.
CHICAGO, IL – JLL has hired industry veteran Alison Flynn Gaffney as division president of healthcare. Flynn Gaffney joins the firm from University of Utah Health, Hospitals & Clinics.
As president, Flynn Gaffney will lead the division and work to evolve the firm’s healthcare business to meet the current and future needs of health systems, hospitals, ambulatory networks and other healthcare providers.
Within her new role, Flynn Gaffney will focus on driving growth and building a differentiated strategy to gain client and talent mindshare. She will also work to identify new business, expand existing client portfolios, develop and deliver scalable solutions to improve customer, patient and team experiences, and attract and retain diverse industry talent.

Flynn Gaffney holds more than 30 years of industry experience. Most recently, she served as interim COO with the University of Utah Health, Hospitals & Clinics. While in this role, Flynn Gaffney held executive and financial oversight for all inpatient and ambulatory operations across the more than $3 billion integrated healthcare system. She spearheaded initiatives to support and enhance the patient and stakeholder experience, she developed a healthcare system master-planning office, and she led the hospital and clinics teams in the development of multiple facilities expansions, including co-leading a new, more than one-million-square-foot healthcare and academic campus, which will provide a historically marginalized community with access to healthcare, education and professional opportunities.
During her career, Flynn Gaffney has also held senior operational, consulting and strategic executive-level roles within well-known healthcare organizations. She is a founding member of Nexera Inc., a healthcare consulting company that specializes in supply chain cost reduction and management services, for which she oversaw operations, compliance and strategic planning. Flynn Gaffney also led the international healthcare practice at Giuliani Partners, an international management consulting firm.
