Cortland has appointed Jan LaChapelle as EVP, head of Debt Capital Markets, to oversee all asset and fund-level financing for the firm. She will report to Cortland's president of Investment Management, Jason Kern. 

LaChapelle most recently served as EVP, head of Capital Markets for New York-based Vornado Realty Trust. There, she oversaw capital markets activities including secured financings, unsecured debt issuances, and preferred and common equity issuances, and was responsible for the relationships with lenders and credit rating agencies. Prior to Vornado, she was a SVP, Capital Markets at Wells Fargo. Jan began her career as a senior financial analyst at CBS MarketWatch.
