Short-term apartment lease platforms have raised hundreds of millions in investment. The concept is that someone can book a furnished apartment in whatever cities the company supports. It's like the old concept of short-term apartments but booked digitally.

Landing has been doing this since 2019 and recently announced a program for corporate travel. Actually, it was more the admission of a program, as the company had been experimenting with the concept since at least May 2022. A business could book space for an employee between "30 days and 12 months or more."

However, now the experimentation is over and the kinks presumably worked out. The program is called Flex. Landing says, "Find the perfect place for your team's work assignments and relocation, and unlock savings with minimum 30, 90 and 180 day commitments – no end date needed." Moving personnel around, getting living quarter for people opening a new remote office, setting up consultants on extended client engagement — a number of applications for such a service make themselves apparent.
