NanoTech Inc., a material science startup working on "breakthrough materials in fireproofing and cool roof coating," said that it had closed an oversubscribed funding round. The company did not publish how much it had received, but said that three institutional, two corporate-strategic, and seven family office investors were participating along with the company's initial investor, Ecliptic Capital.

NanoTech says that working with "the continued support of Halliburton Labs industrial scaling resources," it looked to "use the funds to bolster NanoTech's nationwide network of trusted installers and distributors for immediate delivery across all 50 states."

The company has a material that enables "high performing, eco-friendly, long-lasting, and easy to use fireproofing solutions." Halliburton Labs has some posted videos showing a plastic water bottle coated with the company's Nano Shield product and an egg with a 2-millimeter coating both withstanding exposure to a 3,000° F flame.
