DALLAS—CBRE has hired DJ Elefant to the firm's Debt & Structured Finance team as a Vice President. He will focus on financing solutions for multifamily and seniors housing clients nationwide. According to a prepared release, Elefant brings extensive expertise financing market rate and affordable housing properties, including new construction, as well as skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care and senior living facilities. Based in Boca Raton, Florida, he has originated loans with a variety of capital sources including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA/HUD, and bridge. "DJ is a uniquely skilled capital markets advisor with a deep understanding of both multifamily and seniors housing properties. He will help deliver creative financing solutions to our clients throughout the country," said Scott Thurman, Head of FHA Lending at CBRE, in a prepared statement. "CBRE's platform and resources will allow me to provide best-in-class service and access to capital. I look forward to leveraging these to benefit multifamily and healthcare borrowers across the country," said Elefant. Elefant joins CBRE having originated loans for over nine years at Greystone, where he focused on the multifamily and healthcare sectors.
