Law Firm Signs 765K-SF Lease in Midtown Manhattan
This is the largest office lease in the US for the year, according to the owners.
Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison has signed a 20-year, 765,000 square-foot lease at 1345 Avenue of the Americas, marking what its owners say is the largest commercial office lease in the US in 2023.
The building is owned by Fisher Brothers and institutional investors advised by J.P. Morgan Global Alternatives and they recently completed a $120 million capital improvement project there.
The international law firm plans to initially occupy 18 floors within the Midtown office tower.
Marc S. Packman, Clark Briffel, Charles P. Laginestra, and Josh Fisher at Fisher Brothers led negotiations for the firm. Paul, Weiss was represented by Moshe Sukenik, Chris Mongeluzo, and Brian Cohen of Newmark. Howard Fiddle, Peter Turchin, Gregg Rothkin, Benjamin Joseph, Anthony Dattoma, and Bill Iacovelli from CBRE, as well as Russ Rabinovich and Jenny Haberman from Holland & Knight LLP, worked with Fisher Brothers to secure the deal.
