Hunt Realty Investment has unveiled a $5B project to develop 20 acres next to its iconic Reunion Tower in downtown Dallas in proximity to a new $3B convention center the city is planning to build this year.

Dallas-based Hunt is planning to build a dozen high-rise buildings, including residential towers with up to 3,000 apartment units, a hotel with as many as 1,000 rooms, 2M SF of office space and 150K SF of retail space, according to a report in the Dallas Morning News.

The first phase of the project is expected to include the hotel, and retail, dining and entertainment facilities that will support the new Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.
