ANAHEIM, CA–The Anaheim City Council has unanimously approved Disney's plan for a $1.9 billion expansion of Disneyland.
In January, Disney unveiled a 10-year plan to develop an immersive theme park on the west side of Disneyland. The plan includes a commitment to spend more than $100 million on infrastructure in Anaheim and $30 million to help build affordable housing in the city.
Disney's plan to update the Disneyland Resort is called Disneyland Forward.
