Blackstone Provides $58M Refi for Colorado Apartments
They total 288 units and have some retail space as well.
Blackstone is providing $58 million in funds so Brickstone Partners, Inc. can refinance two apartment complexes — The Junction Apartment and The Alpine Apartments, both located in Fort Collins, Colorado.
The two complexes collectively consisted of 288 units and have 9,390 square feet of retail space, according to Brickstone. The real estate development firm said that it completed “comprehensive renovations of both properties’ unit interiors” a couple of years ago.
“The continuous success of these assets underscores the strength of our fundamental investment approach,” Daniel Otis, founder and chief executive officer of Brickstone, said in a statement.
“We find niche markets and employ innovative strategies for value creation. Our approach targets attractive markets with strong fundamentals.”
The Colorado multifamily market is one that Brickstrone has been active in. Since 2013, the company has poured more than $800 million into not only Fort Collins – but the Boulder area too.
A recent report from StorageCafe showed that younger Americans are migrating from bigger cities to the suburbs. Colorado was among the top 10 states that Gen Z and millennials were moving to. Particularly, Denver has seen a 15 percent increase in population over a decade, with housing stock going up by 20 percent. That bodes well for multifamily opportunities in the state.
