Retail and office owners looking for opportunities to repurpose spaces impacted by changes in consumer behavior and the continuing impacts of the pandemic are finding their locations and infrastructure often align with the healthcare sector’s need for accessible and convenient locations.

A Colliers analysis on healthcare adaptations noted that retail and office spaces often occupy prime locations with established infrastructure, ample parking and high visibility, all of which are attractive to healthcare providers. Integrating healthcare services in these spaces provides consumers with convenient access to care closer to where they live and work, the report said.
