LANSING, MI-India's largest manufacturer of engine and suspension parts has purchased a forge facility in Lansing. Federal Forge, now renamed Bharat Forge America, provides the company with a strategic presence in North America.
DETROIT-Four redevelopment projects in the city will each receive $100,000 under the state's Cool Cities program. A total of 29 projects are designated as part of the Cool Cities program, but only 13 projects around the state receive funding.
SOUTHFIELD, MI-Auto supplier Lear Corp. is making plans to close five plants and relocate work to less expensive locations. Lear says it will announce which plants will close in its July 29 earnings statement.
