Developer Florida East Coast Realty says general contractor Tutor Perini eventually accounted for all the Miami Panorama Tower money—but not before diverting the funds to beef up its own balance sheet to the detriment of shareholders and potential investors.

SPV Realty is within its right to have filed 29 eviction suits at its Design Place apartments amid the pandemic as the state moratorium was lifted. But residents and a nonprofit law firm say the push to evict struggling tenants doesn't match the company's promise to accommodate residents at its proposed Eastside Ridge project.

The seven buyers of five Parque Towers condo units won on their claim developer J. Milton completed the tower over a year late.

The COVID-19 pandemic created a "unique environment of pressure on all sides" in this bankruptcy case, debtor's counsel said.
