NEW ROCHELLE-Signature Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bank Hapoalim of Tel Aviv, and Webster Bank of Waterbury, CT., report they have opened new offices in New Rochelle and Stamford respectively.

Signature Bank President Joseph DePaolo says that the bank's new office is in approximately 2,800 sf of space at the Quaker Ridge Shopping Center in New Rochelle. In addition, the bank will announce shortly new office openings in New York City and Long Island.

Signature Bank was launched in the spring of 2001 with six locations in New York City. The New Rochelle office is the bank's first in Westchester County. The bank, which is headquartered at 565 Fifth Ave., also has operations in Houston. The bank's parent Bank Hapoalim is the largest bank in Israel and one of the top 150 banks in the world. A consortium of private investors, including noted financiers Lewis Ranieri and Westchester resident Michael Steinhardt own 45 percent of the institution.
