The center is expected to be open for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years in August.
The new center will feature an outdoor Playscape, a natural extension of the classroom, offering different settings, surfaces, textures and equipment to stimulate learning and development by providing a variety of play opportunities.
The architect for the Shakopee KinderCare project is RSP Architects, and the general contractor for the build-out is REDI Construction.
The Shakopee KinderCare, which will be open Monday through Friday offering extended hours, will offer computer-integrated learning programs for preschool and school-age children.
KinderCare Learning Centers, based in Portland, OR, operates a total of 1,255 early childhood education and care centers in 39 states in the US and two in the UK.
