TAUNTON, MA-Keller Davis Co. sold its 54,000-sf manufacturing/distribution facility at 555 Constitution Dr. for $3.4 million to New England Ice Cream Corp.
The building is located on a seven-acre parcel in the Myles Standish Industrial Park located just off Route 495. New England Ice Cream intends to occupy the new spaceupon completion of its interior modifications. Bruce Ginsberg, president of the company says that New England Ice Cream purchased the building because of its “convenient location, superior design and construction and the building's ability to accommodate our immediate and long-term growth needs.” He points out that the company is currently in multiple locations and the acquisition will enable it to consolidate into one facility.
The deal required terminating the lease of previous tenant Phoenix Color. Cathy Minnerly and Jim Grady, formerly of Hunneman Commercial, represented Phoenix in the termination. David Mitchell of Rader Properties represented New England Ice Cream in the transaction while building owner Keller/Davis Co. was self-represented by Ron Davis.
