"It's a remarkable tool," Mark Preston of Moody Rambin tells GlobeSt.com of the program, known as Infometrics Market Center. "It provides us with a tool to quickly disseminate information to the marketplace in a proactive way. Every piece of real estate and every aspect of real estate can be managed on Infometrics." Moody Rambin is the first Houston subscriber to the system, which was eight years in development.
The Web-based system works by compiling all the data on a property, including leasing and option rates, square footage and lease expiration dates, into a single database that allows users to pull up a property's information with a single mouse click.
Preston said the menu-driven program gives users "real time" information and can be programmed to provide reminders years in advance of expiring options, leases and other significant data. "It's a true space management tool," Preston said. "With Infometrics, even our receptionist can call up information, e-mail or send it by fax, give up to date rental rates and not be wrong."
Preston said the Infometrics program can provide extensive data about the inventory, transactions and people involved in the leasing and marketing of office, retail and industrial properties to owners, brokers and property managers so quickly, that agents can respond to an incoming phone call with all the data in hand within seconds.
Market Center's interactive campaigns feature can eliminate the cost of direct mail by producing template-based e-mail flyers, sent directly to prospects and brokers with live links for more information or contact with the leasing agent.
The program's SmartStack feature provides a cross-section of the property, depicting space based upon availability with links to more detail. Users can ask SmartStack questions about expiring leases or critical dates and within three mouse clicks can obtain a list of electronic documents related to a transaction or may obtain a searchable lease.
"It's helped us serve our clients better and allowed our brokers to get information faster than they ever have before so the whole operation is ramped up," said Preston. "We can go faster and that's the whole point.
