James E. Foreman with the Houston office of Cushman & Wakefield of Texas Inc. tells GlobeSt.com that A&E Motor Freight is sharing the 60,000-sf building, positioned on 2.7 acres, with its owner, Raco Altura, which uses the bulk of the industrial space to make trim and molding for office build-outs. Foreman and Beau Kaleel, also of C&W's Houston office negotiated both sides of the transaction.
In an unrelated lease, Southwest Networks Inc. took 8,160 sf of industrial space at 1234 Post Oak Blvd., an 86%-occupied building on four acres in the Galleria submarket. The 83,640-sf building is owned by EastGroup Properties of Jackson, MS, which was represented by Steve Hazel of Houston's Insite Realty in the negotiations. Barrett Gibson of NAI Partners Commercial of Houston brokered the terms for the tenant.
