The law firm is taking about 35% more space than it did at the nearby Republic Plaza, where it was one of the original tenants. It represents one of the largest leases signed downtown so far this year.

The new space can handle up to 106 attorneys. And CommonWealth Partners, which owns the building at 1700 Lincoln St., is working with the law firm to accommodate future growth. The firm has the opportunity to more than double its initial space.

The reception area includes a high definition plasma screen TV displaying up-to-the-minute business headlines. Conference facilities include built-in video and teleconferencing capabilities, ceiling-mounted projectors and touch-panel screens.
