Ruhl Forensic Inc., recognized nationally as a leader in forensic engineering and accident reconstruction, picked up the 15876 N. 76th St. industrial building for $150 per sf, just short of the $180 per sf asked by seller Evans Newton Inc. of Scottsdale.

Insignia/ESG associate Michael Kitlica tells GlobeSt.com that the Champaign, IL-based firm will use the block construction building for its administrative offices and accident reconstruction operation. The company, which specializes in heavy vehicle accidents at its Phoenix facility, selected the property because it offered wide open, air-conditioned space for testing, Kitlica said.

Ruhl Forensic, which also does work in biomechanics, injury causation and construction safety, will move its operation to Scottsdale from its current location on Central Avenue in Phoenix July 1. Kitlica represented the seller in the transaction. Ruhl Forensic was assisted by Randy Shell, with Shell Commercial Real Estate of Arizona.
