NEW YORK CITY—Square Mile Capital Management said Monday it had hired Laurie Golub as COO, effective Jan. 8. The 25-year industry veteran joins Square Mile as it continues to transform from a single-strategy opportunity fund sponsor into a multi-strategy real estate platform.
Most recently, Golub was general counsel and COO with HFZ Capital Group, which she joined in May 2012. The firm more than tripled in size during her tenure, eventually managing and developing more than five million square feet of real estate and bringing more than 2,000 luxury residential condominiums to market.
Prior to her tenure with HFZ, Golub was general counsel and managing director of business affairs at Africa Israel USA. Before joining AFI USA, Golub served as associate general counsel to Forest City Ratner Cos., playing a critical role in all pre-development activities of the $5 billion Pacific Park project in Brooklyn.
