EVESHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ—Royal Farms, a Maryland-based gasoline and convenience store chain, is the first tenant to sign a lease at Sunbird Plaza in Evesham Township (Marlton), NJ. The soon-to-be constructed, $10 million, 26,016-square-foot shopping center has a projected opening of spring 2017, and Royal Farms will occupy 5,166 square feet of retail space. It's being developed by New York-based RD Management.
Located at the intersection of Route 73 and Sunbird Drive, Sunbird Plaza is situated next to Target and the highly-trafficked Willow Ridge Shopping Center. There are additional 19,200- and 1,650-squre-feet retail spaces and a potential pad site available for lease.
Royal Farms offers gasoline and diesel fuel, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks at customers' sit-down or take-out convenience. The chain presently operates 167 stores and is expanding into South Jersey.
“We're pleased with the progress of this new development that's perfectly positioned in a busy area of South Jersey, surrounded by complementary retail shops and centers,” says Richard Birdoff, principal and president of RD Management. “Royal Farms' food and fuel concept is the first of several new tenants to join Sunbird Plaza, and we're eager to announce those along with the center's official opening date to the community in the coming months.”
RD Management has more than 200 properties in its national portfolio.
