Albany Street Plaza, 120 Albany Street, New Brunswick, NJ

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—After a national search for space, Austrian visitor management company SKIDATA has decided that New Brunswick is just the ticket for its access solutions company headquarters. The firm opened a new, 11,500-square-foot US headquarters office at Albany Street Plaza in New Brunswick.

SKIDATA relocated to the class A property at 120 Albany Street from nearby Hillsborough, NJ. Cushman & Wakefield's Warren Searles represented SKIDATA in its search and lease negotiation, and Mary DaCosta served as project manager for the expansion move. Sam Boraie served as landlord rep for Albany Street Plaza.

“Our client took a hard look at workplace strategy and committed to providing the type of live/work/play environments that appeal not only to current employees but those who will join the company as it continues to expand,” Searles says. “For its US headquarters, particularly, SKIDATA desired a CBD setting. After conducting an employee mapping exercise, we zeroed in on New Brunswick and MetroPark as two downtown markets with minimal commuting impact for the regional team. Ultimately, New Brunswick's rich cultural offerings and night life drew us to 120 Albany Ave.”

Close collaboration between landlord and tenant led to a satisfactory office layout, Searles says. “The resulting custom-designed office was executed through the collaboration of building asset management, SKIDATA's architect and Cushman & Wakefield's project management team,” he says. “It successfully evokes SKIDATA's evolving corporate culture and will meet its needs for years to come.”

Austria-based SKIDATA is a worldwide leader in access solutions and visitor management. More than 10,000 installations in over 100 countries enable the fast and secure access of people and vehicles to ski resorts, stadiums, airports, shopping malls, cities, spa and wellness facilities, trade fairs, and amusement parks.
