The sale will allow Somerset to transform the vacant former AT&T campus into the Chicago region's first “Metroburb,” modeled after its successful NJ version.

Plans for the site, which are still indefinite, are expected to include commercial and industrial repurposing as well as potential institutional, educational and residential components.

The new tenants offer poke bowls, Thai ice cream, and mortgage loans in a location already occupied by a Dunkin Donuts.

Location and other building attributes made the facility the ideal choice for Astronics' expansion, says Chris Volkert of Colliers.

Hollinden was previously a transaction manager in Colliers' Corporate Solutions Group, responsible for delivering integrated portfolio transaction management, project management and advisory services to clients nationwide.

Although co-working and flexible workspaces still represent a relatively modest share of overall office occupancy, this type of office space is expanding rapidly and having a big impact throughout the industry.
