mmd-downs DENVER—The Denver office of Lee & Associates has added CRE veteran Greg Downs to its brokers roster. Downs, who started his commercial real estate career in 1977 at the Denver offices of Coldwell Banker which later evolved into CBRE, specializes in leasing and development of office, retail and industrial properties.

DALLAS—KeyBank Real Estate Capital appointed Joe Schmidt as regional vice president for the Southwest in its commercial mortgage group. His responsibilities include originating commercial and multifamily CMBS and separate account loans, and also working with the balance sheet segments in the group.

DALLAS—Axiometrics founder Ron Johnsey has transitioned to the role of chairman of the board and CEO, while chief operating officer Keith Walters has assumed the title of president. The moves reflect Axiometrics' growth in booking revenue, employment and product initiatives.

DALLAS—Numerous leases were recently completed at Republic Center located at 325 N. St. Paul St. The landlord was represented by Younger Partners' Kathy Permenter, Trae Anderson and Sarah Savage. America First Legal Services Inc. expanded its lease to 10,203 square feet. The tenant was represented by Conor McCarthy and Jeff Staubach at JLL. Khirallah Law PLLC & LeBouf Law PLLC leased 3,312 square feet. Frozen Fire Films Inc. renewed its 2,416 square foot lease. The tenant was represented by Stephen Hemphill at Mohr Partners. The Trust for Public Land leased 1,959 square feet. The tenant was represented by Charlie Perdue at Perdue Equities Company. Murphy's Deli leased 1,512 square feet. The tenant was represented by Hunter Haygood at Peloton Commercial Real Estate.

HOUSTON—Baker Katz, an X Team International partner, completed two leases on behalf of Snooze/an A.M. Eatery in Houston at Town & Country Village and Lowell Street Market. A 3,185-square-foot Snooze Eatery is slated to open in summer 2017 at Town & Country Village located off of West Sam Houston Tollway. Snooze Eatery will join notable national tenants including Barnes & Noble, Ulta Beauty, Williams-Sonoma and more. The second location, a 3,785-square-foot restaurant, will be located in Houston Heights Lowell Street Market and is slated to open in late summer 2017.

HOUSTON—NAI Partners represented 6614 Dixie Properties LLC in leasing a 28,800-square-foot industrial manufacturing facility to Diverse Metal Products LLC located at 6614 Dixie Dr. Chris Caudill and Jake Wilkinson of NAI Partners represented the landlord, 6614 Dixie Properties LLC, during lease negotiations.

SOUTHLAKE, TX—X Team International's partner, Venture Commercial Real Estate, completed a lease with Starpower Home Entertainment Systems Inc. The 14,342-square-foot luxury home entertainment store replaced Anderson's Furniture at 1600 E. Southlake Blvd. near PetSmart and Home Depot. Starpower is slated to open in early 2017. Schnitzer represented the landlord in the transaction, with Christifulli Corporation representing Starpower.

ADDISON, TX—KWA Construction has completed construction of Post Oak Apartments, a 182-unit affordable housing rental complex on behalf of owner McKinney Millennium II LP and developer GroundFloor Development. The complex, which was completed with tax credit equity from the low income housing tax credit program, is renting 130 of the units to families and individuals earning 60% or less of the area median income, and the remaining 52 at competitive rental market rates.
