NEW YORK, NY—The Community Preservation Corporation, a nonprofit affordable housing and community revitalization finance company, says the New York State Common Retirement Fund (the Fund) has agreed to provide $710 million as part of a revolving facility to finance multifamily housing developments for low- and moderate-income residents across New York State. The agreement with the Fund, which is administered by New York State comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli, is nearly quadruple the 2014 funding agreement of $200 million and will help CPC and the Comptroller achieve their shared mission of investing in stable housing that strengthens and revitalizes underserved New York communities. Since 1991, CPC has invested $741 million from the Fund to provide permanent financing to 471 housing developments with a total of more than 18,515 units.
LYNDHURST, NJ—Sport Clips Haircuts has leased new locations in Paramus, West Caldwell and Marlboro, NJ. Ripco Realty, which brokered the leases, says it's looking for more locations for the hair styling firm. The new Sport Clips locations include: Marlboro Plaza, Route 9 in Marlboro, a 1,275 square-foot inline location in the Kohl's and TJ Maxx anchored center; Sprout Brook Shopping Center, 556 Route 17 North, Paramus, a 1,180 square-foot inline location in a strip center on Route 17 North; and 780 Bloomfield Avenue, West Caldwell, a 1,345 square-foot location alongside Chipotle and Smashburger. Ripco worked with Jimmy Aug of Sabre Real Estate who represented the owner in the transaction.
HILLSDALE, NJ–Inserra Supermarkets recently opened a 6,500 square-foot ShopRite Wines and Spirits store at 371 Broadway, Hillsdale, NJ. The liquor store, which was formerly housed inside the ShopRite grocery store directly across the street, features a vastly expanded variety of products with the added convenience of a dedicated parking lot. The opening of the stand-alone liquor store marks completion of the first phase of planned renovations for ShopRite of Hillsdale.
BETHLEHEM TOWNSHIP, PA—The KRE Group, The Silverman Group and Ryan Homes have begun construction of the first 57 for-sale homes at Madison Farms in Bethlehem, PA. Single-family homes, townhomes and carriage homes are all being built on the property. They represent the first ownership opportunity in a community that already includes 294 luxury rental residences and a retail village with 153,000 square feet of retail space.
PARAMUS, NJ— Floor & Decor leased the 62,500 square-foot freestanding building formerly occupied by Sports Authority at Route 17 and the entrance to the Paramus Park Mall. It's Floor & Décor's third New Jersey location. The Goldstein Group brokered the transaction for Floor & Décor, a provider of high quality flooring and tile with more than 70 locations nationwide.
PHILADELPHIA, PA—PernaFrederick Commercial Real Estate has represented three tenants in the lease of approximately 15,913 square feet of center city office space having an aggregate value of approximately $1.5 million. Maxercise, a mixed martial arts training academy, moved from 707 Chestnut Street to 6,100 square feet on the sixth floor of Archworks, 117-125 North 8th Street. Edelstein Law relocated to approximately 5,057 square feet on the ninth floor of 230 South Broad Street. At 1600 Market Street, the law firm of Ryan, Brown, Berger and Gibbons extended its existing lease for 4,753 square feet on the 14th floor of the 39-story, 825,000 square foot building.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ—Prism Capital Partners has placed the finishing touches on its 7,000-square-foot headquarters space at 200 BroadAcres Drive in Bloomfield. Prism Capital Partners acquired the 380,000-square-foot, four-building BroadAcres Office Park campus in 2006, and has maintained onsite property management operations at 200 BroadAcres Drive since then.

Davis Foundation – an organization dedicated to fighting violence in America – at its annual gala and award ceremony last month. Rosen, an eight-year commercial real estate veteran, will oversee the company's 2.5-million-square-foot New Jersey industrial portfolio with a goal of growing the portfolio through new development and investment opportunities in the market. Rosen comes to Duke Realty after managing commercial real estate investment and leasing transactions for KTR Capital Partners and Woodmont Industrial Partners. During his tenure with these two companies, he was involved in nearly $1.2 billion in transactions.
