SAN FRANCISCO— EPIC Insurance Brokers and Consultants, a retail property, casualty insurance brokerage and employee benefits consultant, hired Doug Bull to the firm's Construction and Design Solutions team in San Francisco as a vice president. Bull will be responsible for new business development, program design and management, marketing and coverage placement, and will oversee EPIC's delivery of products, services and solutions to clients in the construction, design and real estate industries. An industry veteran whose career spans nearly 30 years, Bull joins EPIC from Aon Risk Insurance Services West Inc. in San Francisco, where he was an Account Executive/Broker in Aon's Construction Services Group. There Bull was responsible for production, marketing, placement, client relationships, and contract review for mid to large size construction and real estate accounts.

SEATTLE—Urban Villages Inc., an award-winning real estate development and property management company, has hired seasoned commercial real estate professional and longtime Seattle resident, Angi Davis. Davis brings a wealth of experience in the urban real estate, brokerage and construction industries, having played key leadership roles on numerous high-profile and multi-million dollar developments including the iconic Merrill Place in Pioneer Square and Starbucks world headquarters at Starbucks Center. The news comes on the heels of announcement made by Urban Villages in December about the development company's significant historic revitalization project in Seattle's Pioneer Square. Under the scope of the project, Urban Villages will retrofit and otherwise revitalize three marquee buildings in Pioneer Square, transforming a full city block into one of Seattle's most compelling destinations. Davis will serve as the project manager. Urban Villages' multi-year revitalization will include the Manufacturer's Building at 419 Occidental Ave., the Westland Building at 100 S. King St., the former Schoenfeld Furniture building at 115 S. Jackson St., and a re-imagined and activated alleyway with retail spaces, gathering areas and outdoor events planned throughout the year. The result will be an exciting and unique entertainment, work, residential, retail and dining hub that breathes new life into the south end of the neighborhood.

SEATTLEColliers Puget Sound appointed Derek Heed to managing director of its Bellevue office. Heed is a SVP focusing primarily on the Snohomish and North King County markets and has been with Colliers for over 24 years. Heed has earned a solid reputation with the brokerage community and has been a consistent “Top Ten Producer” with Colliers from 1995 to present. In 2016, he completed 70 transactions and has been involved in leasing over 5 million square feet of space and selling more than $250-million worth of properties during his tenure at Colliers.

HILLSBORO, OR—Rosendin Electric Inc. has leased 91,650 square feet at Majestic Brookwood Business Park with the intention to move-in at the end of September. Scott Weigel, CBRE's Portland sales professional, represented the tenant, Rosendin Electric Inc. in this transaction. The landlord was represented by Colliers brokers, Mike Thomas and Mark McClung. Majestic Brookwood Business Park is a multi-building new development located at 23677 NW Huffman Street in the City of Hillsboro. Rosendin Electric and CBRE worked diligently to find a design-build facility for Rosendin's division headquarters that supports 450+ employees throughout the Northwest.

CONCORD, CA—NAI Northern California has sold Park Center Plaza, a five-unit retail strip center located at 1895 Farm Bureau Rd in Concord, CA. Senior Investment Advisor Alex Barker and Investment Advisor Todd Lewis represented the seller in the $3.35 million dollar sale of Park Center Plaza. Built in 1984, the Park Center Plaza features a retail strip center with a 5-unit value featuring substantial parking, ideal ingress and egress, as well as high traffic counts. Situated on a busy four-way intersection in close proximity to public transportation, and other national retailers. Park Center Plaza's established tenants and prime location resulted in increased interest from investors for this value-add opportunity.

PETALUMA, CA—Meridian Commercial president Matt Brown recently revealed that Samuel Ko from his office has sold a rarely traded and highly desirable four-unit West End Petaluma apartment building for $1.15 million. Ko represented the buyer in the transaction, a local Marin County investor. The seller was the Orie F. Graves and Pauline T. Graves Revocable Trust – Survivor's Trust. Located at 114-120 Oak Street and just a few blocks from Petaluma's city-center intersection of Washington Street and Petaluma Blvd., Ko characterized the sale as a special trade for its product type and location. Each apartment home is two stories with two bedrooms, 1.5 baths, approximately 925 square feet of living space and private decks. Built in 1965, the fourplex is within easy access to restaurants, parks, schools, shopping and other urban amenities.

LAKEWOOD, WA—Holliday Fenoglio Fowler LP has closed the $35.2 million sale of Beaumont Grand, a 267-unit, garden-style multi-housing community in Lakewood, WA. HFF marketed the property exclusively on behalf of Grand Peaks Properties and its finance partner, Pacific Coast Capital Partners. Security Properties purchased the asset free and clear of existing debt. Beaumont Grand is located at 8504 82nd Street SW in Lakewood within proximity to several of Pierce County's largest employment drivers, including the Port of Tacoma and Joint Base Lewis-McChord, a US military installation supporting more than 66,000 jobs. The property is situated to the west of Interstate 5, which provides easy access throughout the entire Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue MSA. Beaumont Grand offers spacious one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans with fireplaces and full-size washers and dryers. Additional community features include a resident lounge, mini movie theater, basketball court and fitness center. The property is 95 percent leased.
