BELLEVUE, WA—Newmark Grubb Knight Frank has hired Mike Schreck who will help launch the Bellevue, WA office. A highly accomplished commercial real estate broker with over two decades of experience as a market-leader in Bellevue, Schreck's addition will further strengthen NGKF's growing presence in the Puget Sound region. “Schreck is one of the most respected brokers in Bellevue and we are thrilled to have him establish our Bellevue market coverage,” says Chuck Seufferlein, president of NGKF's western region. “The Pacific Northwest is an important region for our clients, and Schreck's skill and expertise is critical to the firm as we expand our position in this market.”

SILICON VALLEY, CA—Transwestern appointed VP Anna Mcquillan as president of the Commercial Real Estate Women Silicon Valley chapter. Mcquillan-Rose will focus on enhancing collaboration within the chapter by creating and rewarding business-to-business opportunities. With over 10,000 members, CREW's mission is to advance the success of women in commercial real estate by providing opportunities that foster productive and supportive relationships to enhance personal and professional growth.

SAN FRANCISCO—Savills Studley has hired Evelyn Lee, a licensed architect and recognized expert and thought leader in workplace strategy, as corporate managing director, Workplace Strategy & Analytics. Based in Savills Studley's San Francisco office, she is responsible for expanding the workplace strategy team's presence on the west coast in addition to meeting client needs.

SAN FRANCISCO—Equity Office, a portfolio company owned by Blackstone's real estate funds, has appointed Alan Walker as a SVP and portfolio director responsible for the Northern California and Pacific Northwest markets. In this newly created role, Walker will be responsible for providing the strategic direction and value creation efforts for the company's activities in the region, including approximately five million square feet of existing office properties. He will oversee signature properties, including The Ferry Building and Market Center in San Francisco, and focus on facilitating the growth and expansion of the Company's business in these markets.

PORTLAND—Cohen Financial has closed a total of $11.45 million to refinance three multifamily properties in Portland, OR. Peter C. Norrie, managing director of Cohen Financial's Portland office, arranged 10-year fixed-rate nonrecourse Fannie Mae loans with 30-year amortizations at 65% loan-to-value through Pillar's multifamily lending program. The first five years of the loans carry interest-only payments before amortizing over the last five years. Interest rates were in the low-to-mid 4% range. The developer is Portland-based and is a repeat client of Pillar and Fannie Mae. The loans closed in December 2016 and January 2017.

WALLA WALLA, WA—Zelman Development Co. and Real Estate Affiliates Inc. officially announced today the anchor tenants to be a part of the retail line-up at Walla Walla Town Center. Located in the heart of Washington's wine country, the 360,000-square-foot community center will be sited at the former Blue Mountain Mall at the intersection of Rose Street, Poplar Street and Myra Road. The center will be the region's largest shopping destination come opening day, scheduled for Spring 2018.
