ARLINGTON, VAAvalonBay Communities contributed $35,000 to the Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing. Since 2015, the REIT has given $85,000 to the partnership.

WASHINGTON, DCNext Realty Mid-Atlantic's Andrew Rose has been promoted to principal and has become an equity member of the firm. Rose joined Next Realty in 2007 as an associate and was promoted to senior director in 2012.

WASHINGTON, DCWashington Center, located at 1001 G St., NW, is now 99% leased following the completion nine leases totaling of 130,000 square feet over the past year, according to Newmark Grubb Knight Frank. The leases followed investments made by the owners, Quadrangle Development Corp. and Oxford Properties Group, in the 355,000-square-foot building. “2015 was the first time that Washington Center had any significant amount of available space in the building's history,” said Quadrangle Development Corporation's Vice President George Boteler. “The space came back to us at a challenging time when Washington's East End faced a historically high vacancy rate.”

WASHINGTON, DCLove Funding has closed on a $17.9 million refinance loan for Pleasant Homes Apartments, an affordable apartment community in Seat Pleasant, Md. Senior Director Holly Bray of Love Funding's Washington DC office secured the financing through the US Department of Housing and Urban Development's 223(f) loan insurance program. The HUD program provided the development team with low-rate, non-recourse financing for a 35-year term.

WASHINGTON, DCDeclaration, a full-service dining establishment from PRG Hospitality that typically offers ballpark food, has signed a lease for a 3,500-square-foot restaurant at Grosvenor Americas' residential community F1RST and plans to open by the end of 2017. This new location will be double the size of its counterpart in Shaw and will offer pizza and Philadelphia-inspired menu items.
