DES PLAINES, IL—Steve Bulger has just joined The Missner Group as a project superintendent. In his new role with the Des Plaines, IL-based firm, Bulger will handle job site operations on multiple projects. He will work closely with project managers, project engineers and other office-based staff to ensure that projects meet their defined economic and schedule goals, while always maintaining a high standard of safety. “He demonstrates leadership and a commitment to hard work and his decades of service and success, first with the US Air Force, and later in the construction industry will make him a valuable member of our team, which relies on teamwork, quality and communication,” says Bob Nomellini, chief operating officer of Missner. Bulger joins Missner Group from Krusinski Construction Co., where he also served as a project superintendent.

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL—Brown Commercial Group, based in Elk Grove Village, IL, recently brokered two Chicago suburban transactions as part of a corporate space realignment for Davey Tree Expert Co., the largest residential tree company in the US. Mike Antonelli, vice president of sales, represented Davey Tree in moving its primary Chicago-area office to 1375 E. Woodfield Dr. in Schaumburg from Wheeling, IL and moving a separate service location to 2727 Rt. 53 in Long Grove, IL from Barrington, IL. “These two transactions were part of a strategic repositioning of space for Davey Tree as it looks to further expand its services in the Chicago area,” says Antonelli. “The Schaumburg location provides a highly visible front office environment while the Long Grove site adds a unique outdoor storage component that is ideal for managing their tree services in the northwest suburban market.” Woodfield Financial Center LLC owns the Schaumburg space and was represented by Brandon Berger of Transition Brokers. Pinnacle Capital 2727, LLC owns the Long Grove location and was represented by Joseph and Carlo Santucci of Avalon Realty.
CHICAGO—CBRE represented Video Impressions in the sale of a 18,000-square-foot industrial space at 2505 Diehl Rd. in Aurora, IL, in White Oak Business Park. David Prioletti, senior vice president in CBRE's Oak Brook office, represented Video Impressions in the transaction. The studio headquarters facility sits on 3.2 acres and was originally constructed as a build-to-suit for Video Impressions, a video and audio company specializing in commercial film productions and broadcasting. Corey Chase of NKGF, Inc., represented Certified Laboratories in the site selection and purchase of the facility. Certified Laboratories will relocate its Romeoville operations to the facility once a few improvements are completed this summer. The sale price was undisclosed.
KANSAS CITY—Brennan Investment Group, LLC, a private real estate investment firm that acquires, develops, and operates industrial facilities, has acquired a nine-building industrial portfolio totaling 559,367 square feet in Kansas City, MO. “Our new investment in Kansas City exhibits the key elements of our value add investment criteria: an infill location, with modern functional attributes, priced below replacement cost,” says Scott McKibben, chief investment officer and managing principal of Brennan Investment Group. “As well, the fundamentals of the industrial sector continue to show significant strength and momentum.” Brian Roach, senior vice president at Brennan adds that “the overall Kansas City market continues to be robust with over two million square feet absorbed in the first quarter of 2017.”
OAKBROOK TERRACE, IL—Marcus & Millichap has just helped complete the sale of 3305-21 Prairie and 3300-24 Giles, a 54,680 square feet of land located in Chicago. According to Steven D. Weinstock, first vice president/regional manager/managing broker of the firm's Chicago Oak Brook office, the asset sold for $1,917,000. The property sold in less than one month with multiple offers over list price. Richard Kozarits, Ryan D. Engle and Andrean Angelov, investment specialists in the Oak Brook office, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller, a limited liability company.The buyer, a limited liability company, was secured and represented by Dominic Sulo, also an investment specialist in the Oak Brook office.

CHICAGO—Developers Fifield Realty Corp. and F&F Realty Ltd. will hold a groundbreaking event on Wednesday, April 26 in Chicago's Greektown neighborhood for 727 W. Madison, formerly known as One South Halsted, a 492-unit ultra-luxury apartment tower. At just under 500 feet, 727 W. Madison will be the tallest tower in the city west of the Kennedy Expressway when it delivers in late 2018. The building will consist of 44 floors comprising studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom residences, with unit sizes ranging from approximately 500 square feet to over 1,550 square feet. Units will feature luxury finishes such as plank flooring; quartz countertops; flat-paneled cabinets; stainless-steel appliances; Nest programmable thermostats; 9-foot ceilings; and oversized windows with views of downtown and Lake Michigan. The building will also include more than 10,000 square-feet of retail space.
