Mid Market South-FRIDAYEarly this week in Florida, we saw submarket action in the commercial real estate sector. From Doral and Dania Beach in the South to Altamonte Springs and Saint Petersburg in the center of the state, secondary markets are hopping.

BY THE NUMBERS

South Florida total nonfarm employment expanded 2.6%, or by a net 67,700 new jobs year over year through January 2017. With nearly every employment sector posting job gains in the last 12 months, the rise in local headcounts outpaced the 1.6% national increase at the same time. The 16,300 additions to the education and health services sector supported the rising headcounts in the Tricounty metropolitan area. (Source: Berkadia).
