CHICAGO- Newmark Grubb Knight Frank has just hired industry veteran Joe Arnstein as executive managing director in its Chicago office. He specializes in tenant representation for a myriad of public and privately-held organizations locally and across the country. Bringing 23 years of experience, Arnstein has completed more than six million square feet of transactions. From 1994-1997 he worked at the Chicago office of New York-based Studley, Inc. until serving as principal of Steinco, Inc., a Chicago-based tenant representation firm for six years. Arnstein returned to Studley in 2003 where he remained as a senior managing director through the 2014 Savills acquisition of Studley, Inc. until joining NGKF. He has represented numerous clients over his career, including ZS Associates, Valent BioSciences, Markel Corporation, Dairy Management, Inc., SEKO Worldwide and BrightStar Group Holdings.
KANSAS CITY-Cushman & Wakefield officials say that Phillip Brimble, a seasoned apartment broker, has joined their Kansas City office as managing director. With 30 years of brokerage experience and more than $2.5 billion in investment sales, Brimble will lead a multifamily team that includes Gib Kerr, a 30-year veteran, and Jeffrey Bentz, who joined C&W in 2013. This multifamily team is an outgrowth of a national push to expand multifamily broker operations nationwide, says Michael Mayer, managing principal. The Kansas City team operates as part of a nine-person Midwest multifamily advisory group that covers 24 markets in eight states. This group is part of an Atlanta-based multifamily services group. Prior to joining C&W, Brimble was a senior director at Berkadia Real Estate Advisors.
LOMBARD, IL-Three Chicago-area loan officers at Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp. were ranked among the top in the nation in the 2016 Top Originators rankings published in April by Scotsman Guide, a mortgage industry trade journal. Now in its eighth year, the annual feature ranks mortgage originators on a number of performance metrics. The three DKMC loan officers included in the rankings are all based in Illinois: Steve Siwinski at the DKMC Buffalo Grove branch; Suren Sampat in the Naperville office; and Jeff Slater out of the Lombard headquarters. Each is among the top 500 loan originators in 2016 by total dollar volume: Siwinski at No. 115 with $131,141,454; Sampat at No. 248 with $101,715,388; and Slater at No. 419 with $82,356,037. Siwinski and Sampat also appear in the top 300 list for most loans closed: Siwinski at No. 33 with 666 loans, and Sampat at No. 228 with 330 loans.

BOLINGBROOK, IL- Principle Construction Corp. broke ground last week on an 18,250 square foot addition to the manufacturing facilities of Bay State Milling Co. at 279 Beaudin Blvd. in Bolingbrook, IL.
