SACRAMENTO—HGA Architects and Engineers has recently hired V. Noel Bryan, AIA, NCARB, as Associate Vice President and Operations Manager serving the firm's four California offices. In this newly created position, Bryan will work across offices to streamline operations, technology, staff resources and professional design services to efficiently meet growing client needs in the healthcare, higher education, corporate and public market sectors.

SACRAMENTO—Jeff Pehrson, has joined Kidder Mathews' Sacramento/Roseville area office as a senior vice president where he will specialize in industrial sales and leasing. Pehrson is a veteran broker with over 30 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry and has achieved the prestigious SIOR designation, which recognizes the highest level of achievement, knowledge, accountability, and ethical standards in the industry. His notable clients include ABC Supply, Inc., Factory Motor Parts, Kelleher Corp., and Pacific Storage Co. Prior to joining Kidder Mathews, Pehrson was with TRI Commercial Real Estate Services in Sacramento/Roseville where he was a top producer.

VANCOUVER, WA—Westcore Properties has recently acquired the 407,546-square foot, 25-building office and industrial park known as EastRidge Business Park, located at NE 117th Ave. and NE 99th St. in Vancouver, WA. The $38.7 million purchase from Investors Warranty of America LLC marks Westcore's entrance into the Portland market. Planned renovations will orient the park to attract more industrial users than in years past.

SEATTLE—Urban Renaissance Group recently revealed an extensive renovation for downtown Seattle's 76-story Columbia Center office tower in both the retail and public spaces. Construction at the building, located at 701 5th Avenue, is underway and includes a substantial renovation of the three-story retail atrium, several exterior amenity enhancements, and a completely reconstructed entrance at 4th Avenue. “Expanding and modernizing the retail experience at Columbia Center will better serve our current office tenants and their guests,” said URG Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Patrick Callahan. “In addition, the new renovations will offer better interior pedestrian connections, allowing for expanded interactions and collaboration in both indoor and outdoor spaces.”

KENT, WA—CenterPoint Properties recently celebrated the groundbreaking of a 223,732-square-foot facility located at 26600 72nd Ave. South in Kent, WA. The building is leased to Classic Accessories for 10 years and will consolidate two facilities the company currently leases in the Kent area. “CenterPoint is excited to work with Classic Accessories in Kent,” said Michael Murphy, Chief Development Officer at CenterPoint. “This building will be a significant achievement for CenterPoint, Classic Accessories and the entire Kent community.”

PORTLAND—Expanding its Portland-area multifamily portfolio, San Diego-based Pathfinder Partners LLC has recently acquired the Habitat, an 85-unit community at 5745 SW Oleson Rd. The property was purchased for $15 million from an undisclosed seller. Built in 1978, The Habitat is located in southwest Portland within the affluent Raleigh Hills neighborhood. The community is situated on 4.8 acres and encompasses 12 residential buildings consisting of 19 duplex-style cottages (all two-bedroom/one-bathroom units) and 66 garden-style apartments (one studio, 31 one-bedroom/one-bathroom and 34 two-bedroom/one-bathroom units) averaging 789 square feet. The complex also includes a pool, fitness center, laundry room and large private pond.
