MOUNT JULIET, TN—Montecito Medical Real Estate has acquired the 16,500 square-foot Saint Thomas – Mount Juliet medical office building in rapidly growing Mount Juliet, about 18 miles east of Downtown Nashville. The class A medical office building was recently constructed in 2017 and is 100% leased to Saint Thomas Health. It is located on a prime piece of real estate next to Providence MarketPlace, a 103-acre retail center, the largest open-air shopping destination in Middle Tennessee.
NASHVILLE—Crimson Ventures announced its joint venture partnership with Sabot Ventures closed on its first property acquisition. The partnership launched a new investment company named Cabin Creek Properties, which was created to acquire opportunistic real estate properties throughout the United States. Cabin Creek Properties' first transaction is a 6,700-square-foot office building located at 4336 Kenilwood Drive in Nashville. Advisors in this transaction included Bank of America, Eakin Partners, Waterford Law Group and Milan Insurance Partners.
BIRMINGHAM—VESTA Modular, a Simon Group Holdings company, acquired substantially all assets of Touax USA. The acquisition will add approximately 1,000 modules to VESTA's growing fleet and provide the company new branch locations in Florida and Georgia. Current customers of Touax USA should not see any disruptions in their service. This marks the second major acquisition completed by VESTA in 2017, adding nearly 2,800 modules and 35 employees to the team this year alone
BUILDING BLOCKS
NASHVILLE—LMC completed The Morris, a luxury mixed-use apartment community located along Music Row at the site of country-music icon Dale Morris' former office. The community, which contains 344 apartment homes and 6,000 feet of ground-floor retail, is adorned with music paraphernalia and music-themed design throughout the building that closely reflects the rich music history of Nashville. That includes two autographed Alabama guitars from the band's farewell tour in 2003, Morris' songwriting guitar and, in the mailroom, big-picture views of Kenny Chesney's stadium tours. The latter is significant because no country music artist had previously done an entire tour of stadiums. The leasing office features memorabilia from the Bama House, which Morris created as a temporary 5,000-square-foot Nashville home for Alabama.
