According to Freling, who will serve as a panelist at the upcoming RealShare Healthcare event, held at the JW Marriott Camelback in Scottsdale, AZ, things were good in 2017 despite the controversy in Washington regarding the ACA.
He tells GlobeSt.com that “While we expect the strain on the insurance markets to continue, we nevertheless believe that 2018 will be again be a good year for the healthcare real estate market. With no major moves in interest rates expected, and new capital coming into the space, we expect demand for product to remain high, with cap rates stable, if not compressing somewhat further for class A product.”
