NEWS AND NOTABLES

AUSTIN, TX—Effective immediately, commercial real estate veteran Will Douglas joins JLL as executive vice president for the JLL Austin tenant representation team. During his 15 years in commercial real estate, he has been responsible for more than 500 transactions, including Parsley Energy's recently announced lease for a 300,000-square-foot high-rise downtown.

DALLAS—Brant Brown, chief financial officer and chief operating officer of Westmount Realty Capital LLC was recently appointed to the board of directors for The Real Estate Council, an organization aimed at professional development and community enrichment for people in the commercial real estate sector. Brown also serves on the board of the SMU-Cox Folsom Institute for Real Estate and the Association for Corporate Growth, Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter. He has been actively involved with the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries, Urban Land Institute, NAIOP and Financial Executives International. Brown is a CPA and received his MBA from SMU Cox School of Business.

ARLINGTON, TX—Summit Midstream Partners signed a new lease for 23,609 square feet of industrial space at Park 20/360, 2500 E. Arbrook Blvd. Transwestern principal John Brewer and vice president Joe Rudd represented the landlord, Ridge Development Company, in the transaction.

BAYTOWN, TX—Marcus & Millichap announces the sale of A Low Cost Self Storage, a 35,214-square foot self-storage facility at 1600 Mabry. Dave Knobler, first vice president investments in Marcus & Millichap's Houston office, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller, a limited liability company.

DALLAS—CBRE announces the sale of Rosemont at Timber Creek, a 100-unit multifamily community. Dominium Development and Acquisition purchased the asset from Cascade Affordable Housing for an undisclosed price. Jeff Kunitz and Alex Medeiros of CBRE Affordable Housing, and Chris Deuillet and Chandler Sims of CBRE's Dallas office represented the seller. Rosemont at Timber Creek, at 801 Beckleymeade Ave., was built in 2003 and features a mix of two- and three-bedroom townhouse-style floor plans.

FORT WORTH—The trustee of the University Holdings Trust sold 611 University, a 6,404-square-foot retail property, to Deep Ellum Brewing LLC. Grant Huff with Transwestern represented both buyer and seller in the transaction.

FORT WORTH—Transwestern principal Jack Huff and senior associate Grant Huff represented the buyer in the purchase of a 3,264-square-foot office property at 1121 5th Ave.

FORT WORTH—Transwestern senior associate Grant Huff represented both parties in the sale of 12,500 square feet of land at 6000 W. 6th St.

FORT WORTH—TFB Partners Ltd sold 2200 S. Riverside Dr., a 13,325-square-foot industrial property, to eScreen Environmental. Transwestern principal Todd Hawpe represented the seller in the transaction. Donnie Rhode of Holt Lunsford represented the buyer.

FORT WORTH—Baker Distributing Company LLC signed a new lease for 84,000 square feet of industrial space at Park 20/360, 2500 E. Arbrook Blvd. Transwestern principal John Brewer and vice president Joe Rudd represented the landlord, Ridge Development Company, in the transaction. Jordan Christensen of Tenant Real Estate Advisors represented the tenant.

FORT WORTH—AutoTrex Parts signed a new lease for 14,022 square feet of industrial space at 2727 Premier St. Transwestern director Frank Jester represented both the landlord and the tenant in the transaction.

FORT WORTH—Iron Grind LLC leased 11,850 square feet of retail space at 3541 Alta Mere. Transwestern vice president Alex Bryant represented the tenant in the transaction.

FORT WORTH—One Stop Printing signed a lease for 6,137 square feet of office space at 2904 Cullen St. Transwestern senior associate Grant Huff represented the tenant in the transaction.

LIVINGSTON, TX—Marcus & Millichap announced the sale of Dollar Tree Plaza, a 28,653-square-foot retail property located at 1750 West Church St. Richard A. Mireles, senior associate and Michael Buckner, first vice president investments in Marcus & Millichap's Austin office, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller. The buyer was secured and represented by Ahmed Kabani, first vice president investments in Marcus & Millichap's Miami office. Built in 2010, Dollar Tree Plaza sits in the major retail corridor of Livingston as a Walmart Supercenter outparcel.
