Boston-based Marcus and John M. Corcoran and Company of Braintree, MA have purchased 1943 Dorchester Ave. in Dorchester and 4236 Washington St. in Roslindale.

The company unveiled plans remodel 35 existing stores in 2020 and 2021. With this investment, Giant will grow its commitment to the city of Philadelphia, its home market in Central Pennsylvania, and Monroe County.

Hales as president of the student living division will drive investment, development and operational strategy for the $4.7-billion division.
