LEESBURG, FL-Jim Hartman, a Winter Park, FL entrepreneur, bought the 80-year-old property 45 miles northwest of Downtown Orlando for an estimated $2 million. The property has been under Chapter 11 protection since September 2003. Lenders were waiting to foreclose on the property.
ATLANTA-Locally based Novare Group and Wood Partners expect to break ground by June on 404 condominium units and 101 hotel rooms in a single 26-story structure overlooking the Interstate 75/85 connector behind the new 21-story SouthTrust Building. Completion is scheduled for fall 2005.
