ANTHEM, AZ-Less than a week after buying Mercado at Scottsdale Ranch, the Houston REIT acquires the 113,000-square-foot Anthem Marketplace from Regency Centers for $23 million.
PHOENIX-Cole Corporate Income Trust adds class A office properties in Texas and Massachusetts to its portfolio. The single-tenants include the Allstate corporate campus and Men's Wearhouse headquarters in Texas.
HOUSTON-The local REIT sold 11 non-core assets for $232 million and redeployed the capital toward new properties. One property, the 324,000-square-foot Independence Plaza, is in Laredo, TX.
DALLAS- Axiometrics' Q2 2013 stats show the Dallas MSA delivering 3,203 units, followed by the Houston MSA with 2,593 units coming online. Austin and San Antonio are ranked 5th and 10th, respectively.
HOUSTON-Developer OliverMcMillian announced it would launch construction on the 14-acre, mixed-use Galleria project today. Unveiled in 2007, the 650,000-square-foot project hit a roadblock during the financial meltdown.
PHOENIX-The Dallas buyer pays a record $47 million (approximately $185,449 per unit) to acquire Pavilions on Central from Gray Development Group and partner Reliant Group.
NEW ORLEANS-Working with Oak Grove Capital, the developer obtained the 40-year term loan for its 209-unit Paramount at South Market, part of a mixed-use project, the South Market District.
PLANO, TX-The Southern California acquires Heritage at Lakeside. The property attracted those that wanted to "place capital with a value-add opportunity," according to ARA broker Brian O'Boyle Jr., who helped negotiate the transaction.
HOUSTON-The developer announced it will break ground on the 250,000-square-foot Town Centre I during September 2013; completion is slated for Q4 2014 and is part of the future Town Centre complex.
