AUSTIN-DCM Technologies, headquartered in India, has opened its first Texas office, staffing the development center with 15 engineers from California, Boston and India. The firm's entry into the Texas market is motivated by Austin's strong semiconductor hub.

TEMPLE, TX-Trammell Crow Central Texas Development has lured Albertsons, a leading grocer, to anchor a 100,000-sf retail center in the state's 11th largest sales market. The project will break ground in first quarter 2001 and deliver in the fourth quarter.

PLANO, TX-McGrath-RenTelco, formerly McGrath-RentCorp, has moved from Richardson to Plano into a new 40,000-sf office and warehouse center. The company has been operating in Richardson since 1991.

FT. WORTH-Bell/Agusta needs pilots to fly its innovative tiltrotor so the time's come to break ground on the world's first commercial tiltrotor training center. Ft. Worth Alliance Airport snares the deal for the 82,000-sf center.

SAN ANTONIO-USAA Investments says its 19-year-old Aggressive Growth Fund is no longer economical, closing it to new investors. Meanwhile, the San Antonio-based investment group opens three new index funds and a new growth fund for investors.

AUSTIN-Colliers Oxford Commercial seals deals with four tenants for a total 89,000 sf of industrial space. One Tech Plaza at 2113 Wells Branch Parkway gets two new tenants in the leasing activity.

DALLAS-WorkPlace USA has launched an aviation brokerage and sales division, naming the founder and president of Dickerson Aero Inc. as the team's vice president. The division targets sales, purchases and advice on corporate aircraft and equipment.
