DALLAS-A 599,188-sf retail project, two years in the making, in upscale Las Colinas will deliver its second phase in November, bringing at least two dozen more retailers to one of Dallas' fastest-growing retail and multi-family submarkets. The 198,600-sf final stage will be completed in November although some tenants are planning October openings.

AUSTIN-The president of the private, Catholic liberal arts institution for nearly 3,700 students not only wants to double student enrollment by 2010, but is proposing an ambitious master plan - costing possibly $100 million - to add at least a dozen campus buildings. The university's board is expected to OK the plan at it Sept. 15 meeting, according to sources.
MIDLOTHIAN, TX-Toys R Us, a Paramus, NJ-based retailer, is forging ahead on plans to build an 836,000-sf distribution center in a strategically positioned outlying industrial development that is gift wrapping wide open spaces with lucrative tax abatements. The company plans to consolidate centers in Carrollton, TX and Houston when the project is completed.
DALLAS-A Dallas-based high-tech startup is leasing 7,500 sf in the city's bustling e-commerce strip in Deep Ellum, where New Age street-level retailers are being joined by dot-com businesses taking up the upper floors of renovated turn-of-the-century buildings. The company also is awaiting completion of a New York City building where it has signed a long-term office lease for its executive and financial management team.
CORPUS CHRISTI-There's a new property manager for the 363,397-sf office towers, One Shoreline Plaza, which overlooks Corpus Christi Bay. Williford Property Group is taking control of the structure in a recently signed pact with owner Simmons, Vedder & Co.
HOUSTON-Prentiss Properties hires Holliday Fenoglio Fowler in Houston to market four buildings totaling 850,000 sf. The package represents the last of the Dallas-based firm's holdings in the city.
