BOCA RATON, FL-Locally-based Engle Homes Inc., which has homebuilding operations in seven states, is being acquired by Technical Olympic USA, the United States arm of an international construction company headquartered in Athens, Greece. The deal, including purchase of all Engle shares and assumption of debt, is valued at $465 million.
WELLINGTON, FL-Taubman Centers plans to open its 1.3 million sf Mall at Wellington Green, Palm Beach County, Oct. 5, 2001. It will be the second Taubman shopping center to debut in South Florida next year. The Michigan-based REIT will open the 1.4 million-sf Dolphin Mall in West Dade March 1 as a joint venture with Swerdlow Real Estate.
