ST. PAUL-The 60 projects represent nearly $100 million in capital investments, according to state officials. Another 130 projects are underway to take advantage of tax free zones created by the state.
ST. PAUL-The Aberdeen, a condominium development located in the historic Cathedral Hill neighborhood, is being co-developed by three companies and built by Minneapolis-based Ryan Cos.
ST. PAUL-HealthEast Rice Street Clinic is across Rice Street from the old one and will be ready to open in December. Genesis Architecture did the design work, while MSP Commercial is doing the construction.
MINNEAPOLIS-The city and Ryan Cos. sign the redevelopment agreement for the project at the former Sears site, a one-million-sf warehouse just south of Downtown at the intersection of Lake Street and Chicago Avenue.
ST. PAUL-The funds will leverage an additional $10 million in federal matching funds. The Northstar Corridor Development Authority will contribute $10 million toward the $265-million, 40-mile project.
ST. PAUL-The $1.7-million, 36,000-sf office and warehouse complex will serve at the computer manufacturers headquarters. St. Paul Port Authority will sell the land for $1 in return for new jobs.
RICHFIELD, MN-Three stores are in the Upper Midwest, but none are in Minnesota. The stores are split evenly among its three prototypes--20,000 sf, 30,000 sf and 45,000 sf.
EDEN PRAIRIE, MN-The grocery retailer and wholesaler hires Matthew Desmond for its new position of corporate vice president of real estate. Desmond has been director of real estate for Wal-Mart.
MINNEAPOLIS-Some Wall Street analysts are concerned that it will not be clear sailing for Target Corp. without its department store divisions. One analyst predicts the sales will "expose" Target Stores as "lackluster growth vehicle."
ROGERS, MN-Opus Northwest recently began construction on a build-to-suit facility on South Diamond Lake Road just west of the current Archway Marketing Services' facility.
