MINNEAPOLIS-The $3.24-billion deal includes 62 Marshall Field's in the Upper Midwest, as well as nine Mervyn's store locations in the Twin Cities, making the St. Louis-based retailer a dominant player in the local regional mall market.

MINNEAPOLIS-The Twin Cities industrial market had positive absorption of 220,000 sf in the first quarter, according to a new market report by Welsh Cos. The overall industrial vacancy is 12.8%, or 14.1% with sublease space.
LECENTER, MN-Shetka Works will buy a vacant 24,000-sf building and Electronic Assembly Specialists will occupy a new city-owned building. They will spend about $4 million on the two projects, aided by the state's Job Opportunity Building Zone initiative.
