SCOTTSDALE, AZ-The project at the southeast corner of North Scottsdale Road and Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard will feature two four-story buildings, each of about 125,262 sf. Class A office property is scarce in the submarket.

DENVER-The trend toward developing multifamily rental buildings for the higher-end and luxury markets may be shifting toward the affordable sector, says Eric Tupler, a vice president of L.J. Melody & Co.'s Denver office.

DENVER-Vacancies are lower and asking rents are higher Downtown, but the submarket does have 343,705 sf of negative absorption in the third quarter, as well as 947,686 sf in the first nine months of the year.

DENVER-The eighth ESPN Zone in the US will open next month on the second floor of the mixed-use, class-A Tabor Center development along the 16th Street Mall. The restaurant and game area will cover 23,000 sf.

DENVER-New stores are in the Crystal Lake Mall in Crystal Lake, IL; the Southwest Plaza III Shopping Center in Springfield, IL; Burbank Empire Center in Burbank, CA; and Arbor Lake in Maple Grove, MN and in Frisco, TX.

DENVER-The investment arm of Amstar Group, which controls about $750 million in class-A office buildings, hotels and retail outlets across the US, is refurbishing some of the nine theaters formerly held by Colorado Cinema.

GRAND JUNCTION, CO-Fannie Mae's DUS product line was used to refinance a $1-million loan for the 36-unit multifamily rental project here. Terms of the 10-year loan include 30-year amortization.

DENVER-Chuck Perry, Henry Burgwyn and Josh Comfort, along with with the non-profit Inner-City Community Development Corp., are behind plans for 122 multifamily rental units, 60% affordable, in Curtis Park.
