ATLANTA-The University Financing Foundation plans to pay for the 15-acre Midtown Park project with revenue bonds approved by the Atlanta Development Authority. Yamacraw, Georgia's technology economic development group, will be housed in a five-story, 210,000-sf building in the park.

ATLANTA-Daniel M. DuPree, the 54-year-old president/COO of Cousins Properties Inc. for five years, is leaving the locally based development company March 31. The company's news release didn't explain why DuPree is leaving.
ATLANTA-In a consolidation move for its 1,200 employees, UPS Logistics Group is taking an entire build-to-suit, 300,000-sf office building for its new headquarters in 2002 in the 54-acre Opus Woods business park, 25 miles north of Downtown. The 10-year lease equates to a $22 per sf rent, which is the asking average in the park.
ATLANTA-Nearly 800 employees of the Georgia Dept. of Revenue are getting a $250-a-year bonus in the form of free parking when the agency leaves Downtown for Highwoods' Century Center office park, eight miles from the city.

MEMPHIS, TN-The Hilton Hotels Corp.-owned company is shooting for a May opening in Stockbridge, 20 miles south of Downtown Atlanta, and anticipates opening other metro Atlanta assets this year in Columbus, Moultrie and Corneilia. Memphis is about 320 miles northwest of Atlanta.
ATLANTA-The 23-story, 527,000-sf Midtown tower opens in March. William Carter Co. is taking 60,000 sf on a seven-year to 10-year lease with an estimated aggregate rent value of $12.5 million.
