FALL RIVER, MA-Quaker Fabric Corp. decides to lease, rather than buy, the 600,000-sf industrial facility at 81 Commerce Dr. The building is situated on nearly 34 acres in the north end of the city and would have sold for $21 million.
CAMBRIDGE, MA-Altus Pharmaceuticals leases 16,000 sf at 195 Albany St. in a sublease deal with Transkaryotic Therapies. The building was formerly the headquarters location for Transkaryotic, but Altus plans to redevelop the space for manufacturing use.
BOSTON-CRIC Capital, a locally based joint venture between Corporate Realty Investment Co. and Prudential Real Estate Investors, enters into an $18 million sale-leaseback transaction with GasMart USA, for five properties.
WORCESTER, MA-Berkeley Investments' is the winning bid for the Worcester Common Fashion Outlets. The firm plans to redevelop the site into a mixed-use project that would include residential condominiums, retail space, medical offices and senior housing.
BEVERLY, MA-A $5-million loan was arranged for Enon Street Realty Trust for the Stop & Shop store on Enon Street. Enon also purchased a parcel of adjacent land which will allow Stop & Shop to expand its store.
MARLBOROUGH, MA-New England Development and SR Weiner and Co. sell the Shops at the Pond Shopping Center for $26.5 million. Kimco Realty Trust acquired the fully tenanted, 103,000-sf mall, which was built last year.
WORCESTER, MA-TA Associates Realty sells Perkins Farm Marketplace, a 203,000-sf community shopping center, to Kramont Realty Trust for nearly $19.8 million. The center was originally built in 1965 and renovated in the late 1990s.
