BASTROP, TX-The plan calls for a 50,000-sf hospital in Bastrop and a 29,000-sf expansion to the Smithville facility, both owned by the Smithville Hospital Authority. Twenty-five acres are under contract for the Bastrop hospital
AUSTIN-The Long Center committee has pushed the opening to 2005 for the privately funded arts project with a $110-million price tag. To date, $62.3 million has been raised. Meanwhile, Gov. Rick Perry and Austin Mayor Gus Garcia join the committee.
AUSTIN-The Texas Workers Compensation Commission will exit the 141,902-sf Southfield, a traditional office building, for Met Center 10. The move reduces rent and builds in flexibility if the agency is downsized.
