The opening of the Conn's HomePlus Lakeland distribution center in August 2020 will create approximately 50 new full-time jobs, with an estimated 720 additional statewide jobs generated as the retail showrooms open.

The firm sold the two properties after expanding into new facilities, according to Newmark Knight Frank, which represented the seller in the transaction.

The development, located about an hour north of Tampa, is fully leased. HTG completed the first phase of the development in 2017, consisting of 96 affordable apartments and broke ground on 94 additional apartments last year.

The 396-unit garden apartment community on Townsend Boulevard includes 13 buildings on both sides of Townsend Boulevard.

The $5.5-million sale for the 4,350-square-foot freestanding property features a 15-year triple-net lease with options to extend. The property was acquired by an affiliate of Bayrock Investment Co. of Charlotte, NC.
