HOUSTON-The H.E. Butt Grocery Co., a San Antonio-based chain, buys nine acres in Katy for a 78,000-sf store to replace a smaller one in the West Texas town. The chain is in the process of replacing or expanding many of its 45 "Pantry" stores in Houston.
