ORANGE, CA-The U.S. General Services Administration renews its lease in Centrum North, which is owned by CRC Real Estate Corp. The GSA occupies just under 18,000 sf in the building, which is located at 1120 W. La Veta.

IRVINE, CA-The 61,366-sf facility was 100% leased at the time of sale. The deal has occurred as Pacific Life & Annuity Co. has announced it will move its Group Insurance Division to Irvine in 2002.

LOS ANGELES-The two companies had been negotiating to create a joint venture, but the talks have been suspended indefinitely, according to a recent announcement by TrizecHahn.

LOS ANGELES-The Beverly Hills-based real estate investment trust, which has been considering a merger with the Weisman Group, has rejected the company's latest proposal, according to a recent announcement by G&L Realty Corp. A special committee of the board of directors decided against the offer because it is not in the form of a definitive acquisition agreement.

IRVINE, CA-The new building will serve as the headquarters for Pacific Life & Annuity's Group Insurance Division for Southern California operations. Approximately 450 employees from the company's Fountain Valley and Huntington Beach offices will move to the new site in 2002.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA-A subsidiary of the locally based real estate developer and investor, Capital Pacific Holdings Inc., has completed the unsecured loan facility with four major banks. The loan proceeds will be utilized for the repayment of existing secured bank debt and other general working capital purposes, Capital Pacific says.

TORRANCE, CA-The company, Golden Star LLC, has paid $2 million for a vacant parcel in Torrance. It plans to build a 20,000-sf retail center on the site. The complex will feature a Mediterranean design and will include 12 retail stores.
